Iphigenia (a myth-based dance and puppet film)

Collaboration with filmmaker/director Elise Kermani and Mishinnah Productions.

This trans-media production, which combines video and live performance is a work that seeks to blend multiple storylines including the myth of Iphigenia. The work meets at the nexus of dance, theater, puppetry, and filmmaking and touches upon the real-life story of an Iranian journalist who was unjustly repressed and incarcerated. This project is a work-in-progress phase and will be completed this year.

My contribution to this project is in the form of the co-conception of the overall story, puppet design, building, and choreography of the puppet scenes. Additionally, I collaborated in the creation of the dance choreography and I performance in the piece.
